What is Idaho Gives?
Idaho Gives is a program designed to unite the state by raising money and awareness for Idaho nonprofits from April 29 to May 2, 2024. The platform at IdahoGives.org makes it easy for donors to find and support local nonprofits.
Who can donate?
Anyone with a credit or debit card can donate online at IdahoGives.org. All donations are tax-deductible and non-refundable.
How are donations handled?
Donations are processed through GiveGab and disbursed directly to the chosen nonprofits within three business days. Donors have the option to cover transaction fees to ensure 100% of their intended donation goes to the nonprofit.
What about fees?
A 4.5% + $.30 fee is applied per transaction unless you use the ACH payment option, which has a flat fee of $3.00 + a 2% platform fee, capped at $20. Donors typically cover these fees, making their entire donation tax-deductible.
Can I donate anonymously?
Yes, you can choose to donate anonymously, but the organization will still receive your contact information unless otherwise specified.
Is my donation tax-deductible?
Yes, donations are tax-deductible. The deductibility of fees covered by donors is up to their discretion, and we recommend consulting a tax professional for advice.
