As the Morrison Center approaches its 40th anniversary in 2024, it’s a fantastic time to reflect on the vital role its stage has played in the community and its part in the future. The Morrison Center provides a home for the Boise Philharmonic, Ballet Idaho, Opera Idaho, and the Boise State University’s Music and Theatre Arts Departments, solidifying its command of the arts in Idaho.
The Morrison Center has hosted musical and theatrical greats, nationally recognized speakers, comedians, and some of Broadway’s biggest hit shows. This grandstand isn’t just for high-brow performances and those who can afford the arts–the arts should be accessible for all.
The MC Presents event series was started last fall to engage all community members in diverse, affordable performances. By engaging with local businesses and passion projects, MC Presents amplifies smaller voices in the arts. The Morrison Center is bringing arts and culture to all.
What is Morrison Center Presents?
Morrison Center (MC) Presents is an opportunity for all members of the Boise community to see the incredible events and performances at the Morrison Center.
With tickets for the family shows starting at $11/ticket and other shows averaging around $20/ticket, these performances have been priced more affordably to allow families, young people, students, and all who are interested in the arts to see them.
MC Presents shows are powerful, showcasing fun acts like hip-hop dance and children’s musicals. All are welcome to come to enjoy the arts!
