Your Guide to Have the Best Fall in Boise

Last updated October 01, 2021 by Totally Boise

Fall is here, and we can't help but fall in love with Boise again! As the leaves start to turn colors and the weather cools down, it's time to make your rounds and do all the fun fall things. At Totally Boise we love celebrating the change of seasons, but there is something special about fall that makes us so excited to be a part of the Boise community. Here are six fun ways to kick off fall 2024!

1. Voodoo Cellar

If you’re looking for a night out that dives deep into the quirky and chilling, Voodoo Cellar is your ultimate destination! As you step into this subterranean sanctuary, you’ll immediately notice the dim, atmospheric lighting and the purple haze that sets the stage for a truly otherworldly experience. Inspired by New Orleans and the mystique of voodoo, the pub is a visual and sensory feast that transports you to another realm.

Every Tuesday night at 8 pm, Voodoo Cellar transforms into a haven for horror fans! Catch a fan-favorite horror movie while enjoying movie theater popcorn all night long. Arrive by 8 pm to participate in their mini pre-movie trivia for a chance to win a free round of drinks for your entire group.

Thirsty? Choose from 13 beers and ciders on tap, or indulge in boozy slushies, margaritas, mojitos, seltzers, and handcrafted cocktails. Happy hour runs every day until 7 pm with incredible deals, including $3 drinks, $5 margaritas and mojitos, and 18oz craft drafts served in skull mugs for just $5!

So, if you’re up for a wickedly good time with friends, Voodoo Cellar is where the fun begins.

2. Go to a Boise State Bronco Football Game

Nothing says fall like a good ol' fashion Boise State Tailgate before attending their home games! If there is one thing Boise is known for it's our love for the Broncos. Whether you are a huge football fan or not, celebrating game days is a must-go-to event during fall.

3. Visit a Pumpkin Patch

A tradition for many families, visit one of the Treasure Valley's pumpkin patches with family and friends this year. Find your way through a corn maze, grab your pumpkins for carving, or go on a hayride, either way, you are sure to have a gourd time!

  • Twin Oaks Farms

4. New Fall Drink and Food Releases

A change of seasons means a shift in food and drink cravings! Stay on the lookout for new beer releases, such as fresh hops and pumpkin beers. Not a beer fan? Many local shops tend to bring out pumpkin-spiced lattes, pumpkin bread, and other delicious fall recipes!

5. Explore Idaho

Nothing screams fall like Boise views. The City of Trees takes on a whole new meaning when the leaves change colors. Consider a hike in the foothills to overlook the city, or take this opportunity to go camping one last time before winter. Either way, fall views in Idaho are too pretty not to appreciate.
