A Grief Resource for The People of Boise

Last updated August 18, 2021 by Mariah Hebbeln

Often, our main concern at Totally Boise is to connect the noteable residents and tourists of the Treasure Valley to local businesses, events, or unique activities. We are passionate about fostering everlasting connections between our loyal community readers and followers as our valley grows. However, we know there is more to being an Idahoan than knowing where the best BLT’s are or what new brewery is opening.

Grief resources have gained more traction as we all navigate through the obstacle course of the global pandemic and all of its damage, including losing those we love.

In a commitment to our community, we have gathered and provided a list of several resources in Boise, Meridian, Eagle, and surrounding areas to help connect you with grief professionals.

Please note that we are not trained mental health professionals, but we will try our best to keep our fellow Idahoans happy and healthy as best as we can.

Unfortunately, loss can come at a variety of ages, and that includes the young lives of children. Camp LOLO, or Loss Of Loved One, is a two-day camp where kids from any age up to 18 can gather with caring adults and volunteers and other children who have lost someone close as well. This camp has helped several children understand how to process, feel, and move through the complicated and heavy emotions of losing a loved one with adults who give them the space needed to do so openly.
