Celebrate National Fried Chicken Day at these Boise’s Restaurants

Monday July 6th is national fried chicken day! In honor of this glorious day, check out a list of places where you treat yourself to the delicious meal.

Newly opened Korean style fried chicken has six variations of fried chicken to choose from with oven-baked options as well. Menu items include, crunch or crispy fried chicken (and yes there is a difference) as well as crispy fried with honey butter or cheddar.

Saint Lawrence GridIron

You can usually smell the bbq from Saint Lawrence GridIron from down the block when downtown. Specializing in smoked BBQ, of course fried chicken would be on the menu. Order the Dirty Bird sandwich or The Ploughman’s Platter. If you’re looking for a family meal, try the Family Pack, you get ¾ lb of delicious fried chicken along with other meat varieties.

Solid Grill and Bar

Always a solid choice when looking for a local place to eat in Boise. Solid Grill and Bar serves savory chicken and waffles as a house favorite. Who wouldn’t want that for dinner?

Tupelo Honey

A Southern comfort food restaurant, Tupelo Honey offers any chicken sandwich on their menu with a fried option, because why not? On top of their fried chicken sandwiches, their supper and breakfast options also seem to either incorporate fried chicken or give you the option to add fried chicken. Safe to say, Tupelo Honey loves fried chicken.

The Wylder

Typically recognized for pizza, The Wylder has a nightly suppers section that includes organic fried chicken with apple cider slaw, biscuits and honey butter. We are just drooling thinking about it.

Eights words, Cast Iron Buttermilk Fried Chicken and Cheddar Waffle. Only offered on Tuesdays starting at 5 p.m. Fork is another great option for a hot and crispy chicken meal.

The Lift

Located on State Street, The Lift has a few fried chicken options. Buttermilk chicken sliders to share, a crispy chicken sandwich and a chicken fried steak for a brunch option.

Grant's in Meridian not only has a fried buttermilk chicken sandwich with tarragon aioli sauce for a lunch and dinner option but it’s their brunch option that is scrumptious. The chicken fried chicken option is served on a homemade biscuit smothered in gravy and topped with eggs.

Yard House at the Village at Meridian has a few fried chicken options to go with their many beer options. Pair a beer with fried chicken tenders, fried chicken sandwich, or the nashville hot chicken.

Being an American cuisine restaurant, it would be a shame if fried chicken was not on the menu. Grit offers a lemon brine fried chicken appetizer in two sizes as well as a chicken sandwich, known as the spicy Nashville.

Coyne’s is definitely a stop that needs to be on your fried chicken list. Placed on a sweet hawaiian bun, the fried chicken is complemented with ginger mayo and tabasco brown butter. If your mouth wasn’t watering before, chances are, it is now.
