“Usually, when you take a ski or a board to a shop to have them worked on during peak season, the shop can be backed up from two days to two weeks,” said Katelyn.
Booking a tune-up with local Glide & Go eliminates that downtime. While many businesses may use a machine to tune gear, Katelyn prefers a more precise method.
“I hand-tune all ski and snowboarding equipment so that I can provide a better quality tune-up,” said Katelyn.

Hot wax not only protects your skis and snowboard but it prolongs its lifespan and can help with speed on the slopes. Katelyn suggests getting a hot wax after 4-6 snow visits.
Edge Sharpening - $55
Along the edges of your skis or snowboard is a metal edge. At the start of each season, it’s highly recommended to have an edge sharpening service. Again, depending on how often you use your equipment will depend on how many times you will need this done throughout the season. Sharpening boards and skis helps with carving, stopping, and removing any imperfections along the metal.
