Operating since 1994, the Capital City Public Market is one of the Treasure Valley's largest Saturday markets. In years past, the market has been known to take over the streets of downtown Boise and 34th street in Garden City. The open-air market and its 150+ local vendors will take the Grove Plaza.

Here, you can browse stall after stall of local produce, art, and other specialty crafts and foods. Creating a model of sustainable e-commerce is the driving mission behind Capital City Public Market.

Things to Know About the Capital City Public Market

Opening at 9:30 am and operating until 1:30pm every Saturday, the market is a great way to taste, see, and experience Boise. If it's your first time ever, or you're curious about the market rules, here's what we found.

  • Dogs are allowed, but some vendors might not allow them near their stalls. The ground can also be quite hot in the summer months, so be prepared to come early if your furry companion is tagging along. You are responsible for cleaning up after your pet and ensuring they behave and are not antagonizing other market-goers, dogs, or vendors.
  • Parking is available at nearby parking garages, lots, and street meters.
  • Credit cards are accepted at most vendors, but preparing to pay in cash is wise. If needed, there are ATMs for several different banks in the area.
  • Purchases can also be made for those using the SNAP/EBT program.
  • Bring your reusable grocery bags to pack home your goods.
