Idaho Doesn’t Have an Ocean? How Does Paddles Up Poké Ensure Fresh Fish?

Last updated September 16, 2021 by Tessa Bishop

A local favorite, Paddles Up Poké, prides itself on providing Idaho’s freshest fish. Let’s be honest, we live in Idaho. How can they ensure they only serve fresh fish?

Serving Only the Freshest Food

If you’re a poké lover, we’re sure you’ve been to Paddles Up. They’ve taken over the Treasure Valley for five years, providing only the tastiest bowls, sushi burritos, and poké nachos. Paddles Up continues to be a strong advocate for only serving food with the finest ingredients, so we reached out to them for proof. Here’s what we found out:

  • The Tuna: The best in Idaho, it’s sustainably caught by Ocean Beauty Seafoods, providing fresh seafood to Idaho for over 45 years.
  • The Salmon: This is serious. Paddles Up fly in fresh salmon daily.
  • The Produce: Sourced locally from Charlie’s Produce who focuses on sustainability, innovation, and empowerment.
  • Soy Sauce: I bet you didn’t even expect this one. Paddle’s Up flies in 2,000 lbs of soy sauce straight from Hawaii.

It’s confirmed, all fish is delivered and hand-cut daily, only serving fish on day one. At Paddles Up Poké, they take service seriously. From providing the best food to fuel your body to having a team of knowledgeable, friendly fish lovers, each Paddles Up Poké location holds high standards for service.
