Carpe Diem - Paddles Up Poké Nets Awards, Partnership, Charity Events & Plans Growth

Last updated March 26, 2021 by Totally Boise

Opening in 2017 in the heart of downtown Boise, Paddles Up Poké has quickly become a favorite food scene. A Hawaiian staple, poké is sliced or cut raw fish complemented in a rice bowl with mouth-watering toppings and sauces.

Paddles Up Poké is part of the Treasure Valley’s social fabric. As the official poké of The Boise State Broncos and the Idaho Steelheads, Paddles Up Poké loves being involved in the community.

Poké Fuels Boise State Broncos

During the pandemic shutdown in 2020, many of the BSU campus food locations had to close. However, Paddles Up Poké was able to remain open because of the nutritious value and popularity among the students who remained on campus.

As Boise State Alumni, Paddles Up Poké owners, Dan and Laura Landucci, are proud to team up with BSU to become Boise State University's official poké shop.

Fueling the Bronco athletic department, Paddles Up Poké is committed to feeding students and athletes "everything they need to get degrees." They also provide a little something to help celebrate on Bronco Football game days at their downtown Boise location- a free beer to dine-in customers who are 21 and up!

Passionate about feeding BSU students with nutritious meals, Paddles Up Poké grants internship opportunities for their employees who attend BSU and works closely with BSU fraternities and sororities during giveback nights. Partnering with a specific fraternity or sorority enables Paddles Up Poké an opportunity to provide students and community members with delicious poké while simultaneously generating charitable contributions since a percentage of all sales are donated to the nonprofit of choice.

Best Poké in Idaho

Depending on your bowl, poké is packed with Omega-3, Proteins, and antioxidants. Committed to bringing nutritious and delicious food to BSU students and the rest of the community, It is no wonder why Paddles Up Poké continues to be praised for its innovative recipes.

The fresh seafood quality Paddles Up Poké brings to Boise has grown tremendously.

Paddles Up Poké has continued to be voted Best of Boise since 2017 and was Voted Best in the West by Via Travel Magazine.

Poké Can Accommodate Gluten-Free And Other Dietary Restrictions

One aspect that stands out about Paddles Up Poké is the range of dietary restrictions for which they can accommodate. All of Paddles Up Poké's sauces are gluten-free, and any bowl can be made gluten-free. They also have chicken for those who may not want raw fish and tofu for vegetarians, along with zoodles as a rice alternative.

Totally Boise's Favorite Poké Bowls

The Bogus Basin: Tuna, salmon, crab, house-made piranha sauce, avocado, + more fresh ingredients.

The Fiesta Bowl: Spicy tuna, crab, spicy piranha sauce, jalepeños, + more fresh ingredients.

Sushi Burrito: Not a poké bowl but so incredibly delicious that we had to add it to the list of "must try" items. The best part? You can turn any of the poké bowls into a sushi burrito.
