While we’ve been trying to wrap our heads around what we can do to show our support to the community while staying true to our mission here at Totally Boise, we’ve found the best way for us to show our support is by highlighting our local Treasure Valley Black-owned businesses.

At Totally Boise, our goal is and has always been to post uplifting, insightful, and positive stories and showcase what truly makes Boise stand out. We’re going to continue striving to be a light, understanding one of the most valuable ways to show solidarity is by supporting the Black owned businesses and organizations in our community and across our nations with our own dollars.

Organizations to Support in the Treasure Valley

Organizations to Support on a National Level

Last night, two Boise activists came together to put on a Black Lives Candlelight Vigil at the Idaho State Capitol. With a great amount of the community showing up to support, crowds were reaching from the Capitol Building all the way to Bannock and beyond. It was amazing for the community to have the ability to mourn, heal, and love as a whole in peaceful solidarity.

We advise you to continue educating yourself, listening, reading, and learning. We continue to stay Boise strong.
