It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in the Boise community! We saw the annual tree lighting at the capital, on the Boise State campus and at The Village at Meridian but it doesn’t stop there! Though it’s getting colder outside this Christmas spirit is definitely warming our hearts! We wanted to continue to encourage all of our Totally Boise readers to enjoy the Boise community during this joyous time. Here are a few events and activities to do with your friends and family this holiday season!

5th Annual Idaho® Potato Drop

The 5th Annual Idaho® Potato Drop is an event that the Boise community looks forward to each year and it’s only a few weeks away! Not only is this event a unique and fun way to celebrate 2018 but it also benefits local arts, business, and charities- the perfect way to ring in the new year with your friends and family! At Totally Boise, we like to celebrate in style. That’s why at the 2018 Idaho® Potato Drop we will be enjoying this awesome event in VIP! No need to break out the hats, scarfs, and winter coats because the VIP experience allows you to enjoy the event inside a warm, toasty and elegant 40’X100’ crystal clear room. The Nutcracker - Ballet Idaho

December 15 at 7:30pm

The Ballet Idaho returns with a performance from the beloved classic, The Nutcracker. This ballet performance is filled with magical mice, a life-sized Nutcracker doll that transforms into a handsome prince, and a whimsical snow scene. With the help of over 100 children from the Ballet Idaho Academy, you will feel the Christmas spirit in the Morrison Center this season! Not only are you able to enjoy this classic ballet but you can join all of your favorite characters prior to the show for photos and autographs!

Boise Trolley Tours

One of our most favorite activities during the holiday season is driving around with a hot cocoa in hand, Christmas music on the radio, and enjoying all the lights throughout the Boise community. Boise Trolley Tours wants to be apart of that experience with you! Nightly Christmas light tours are now available from December 9th until December 27th. Traditions of Christmas

December 15-23
Where: Nampa Civic Center

Traditions of Christmas is a Radio City Music Hall style show that is loved by all ages. During this show the performers will bring you a long as they enter into different times and heritages. There will be a special USO performance where our military is honored as well as kickline tap dancers, Santa’s workshop, and a Nativity story. This show truly does have it all and reminds the Boise community what the true meaning of Christmas is. So, grab your friends and family to enjoy this heartfelt performance together.
