The Treasure Valley also provides many public pool spaces! The two we recommend are the Boise Aquatic Center and Borah Pool. The Boise Aquatic Center is connected to the West Family YMCA. It has a 50-meter swimming pool with a waterslide, children’s pool with slide, and other features. Price options include $9.85 (one adult with up to two children), $18.55 (family cap of five), $9.01 adult pass, and $4.13 youth pass. Click here for more information.
Borah Pool runs very similar to a public pool, with the following price options: $2.00 for 11 years old and younger, $2.50 for 12-18 years old, and $3.75 for adults. They also offer Family Swim Wednesday Evening/Weekends, with the family rate of $8.00. Click here for regulations, special admission rates, and provided lessons.

If you’re looking to spend the day on the lake, then head over to Lucky Peak. For those who enjoy boating, Spring Shores Marina is a great escape located close to the city of Boise. One can dock their own boat there, as well as rent boating and other personal watercrafts. If boating isn’t for your family, Sandy Point is a great place to swim and have a bareque. It costs just $5.00 per vehicle for admission to this state park located at the base of Lucky Peak Dam. It features a decent size sandy beach to soak up some sunshine. You can also bring your own rafts and tubes to float, or you can rent paddle boards for $20.00 for the first hour and $10.00 for each additional hour. Click here for more information.

Quinn’s Pond is a great option when looking to relax near the water! Swimming, paddleboarding, and kayaking are great activities at this location as well. For more information and regulations, click here.
The Boise River also provides a variety of water activities for the whole family! The river is now open to float, so grab a few tubes and head over to the entrance at Barber Park. Boise Whitewater Park (originally Boise River Park), is also perfect for river surfing and kayaking! The wave specifically located between 34th/36th St. River Break mentions that on Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday the wave is shaped for surfing. While on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday it is shaped for kayaking. However, check schedule updates before you head down, just in case it switches up! For more information, click here.
