Spring break is here, and if you’re looking for fun, easy day trips that don’t require a plane ticket, the Treasure Valley has you covered! From outdoor adventures to hands-on learning experiences, here are some top spots—including some hidden gems—to explore with the family this spring break.

Black Cliffs Rock Climbing & Warm Springs Mesa Trails

Distance: 15 minutes from Boise

For families with active kids, the Black Cliffs offer a unique chance to try rock climbing (guided experiences available for beginners) or explore lesser-known hiking trails at Warm Springs Mesa. It’s a fun way to burn energy while taking in views of the Boise River.

The MK Nature Center
