Hey parents, don’t look now; summer is just around the corner! Before you know it, the kids will be out of school, and you’ll be searching for summer camps, daycare services, and activities to keep the little ones busy! Lucky for you, Boise State Summer Youth Sports Program (SYSP) has provided youth sports activities and classes to the Boise community for over 40 years.
Whether your children are showing interest in sports for the first time or are already star athletes, the SYSP has designed sessions to help children develop the skills needed to participate in various sports and physical activities.
If you have children who are between the ages of 5 and 14 years old, you’re going to want to keep reading. We have all the details on the four sessions of BSU’s developmentally appropriate and activity-driven summer camp!

Score! We’ve found a great summer camp for your kids to stay active and have fun during their summer break. What really sets BSU’s Summer Youth Sports Program (SYSP) apart is that participants learn and experience a wide variety of sports and activities while making friends and having fun!
During your child’s two-week session, they will experience a variety of activities and sports. While some activities they will know, like soccer and basketball, others may be new or unfamiliar to them, such as ultimate frisbee, rock climbing, and pickleball. Each child will gain exposure to sports, skills, and fundamentals through developmentally appropriate instruction. Umm, can we sign up??

Sessions and Pricing
Get your computer out because registration for BSU’s SYSP is now open and will only remain open while positions remain available. Each session is two weeks long, with options for full-day or half-day registration. Participants will be assigned to a group of 15-20 other children with 2-3 instructors with whom they will remain for the 2-week session. Have multiple kiddos? No problem - there are sibling discounts!

Full Day
$550 / participant
Monday – Friday from 8:30 am – 4:30 pm
Lunch break from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm
Drop-off window from 8:00 am – 8:30 am
Pick-up window from 4:30 pm – 5:00 pm
Half Day
$300 / participant
-The morning (AM) session runs from 8:30 am – 12:00 pm, with a drop-off window from 8:00 am – 8:30 am and a pick-up window from 12:00 pm – 12:30 pm.
-The afternoon (PM) session runs from 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm, with a drop-off window from 12:30 pm – 1:00 pm and a pick-up window from 4:30 pm – 5:00 pm.

Did we mention that each program participant will experience ALL the activities (except Mountain Biking, which you must register for separately) over a two-week session? Talk about a home run of a summer camp!

Rock Climbing
Participants will be instructed in belay rock climbing by staff at the rock climbing gym in the Campus Recreation Center. All instruction is scaled to the participants' ability and experience.
Outdoor Adventure
Boise State’s Campus Recreation Outdoor Adventure staff will provide participants with a variety of outdoor learning experiences on campus, including shelter building/pitching a tent, knot tying, orienteering, and slacklining.
Team Building
Boise State’s Campus Recreation Outdoor Adventure staff will provide fun and engaging team-building activities one day per week for each team of participants to help foster community and build interpersonal skills.
Mountain Biking Adventure (Separate from General Session)
This is a morning (8:00 am – 12:00 pm) off-campus activity option where participants will explore local mountain biking trails and learn basic bike maintenance and safety.
