What started as a one-man Mexican bakery operation in 1955 and operated on door-to-door sales by Founder Francisco "Pancho" J. Rodriguez Sr. has grown into a well-oiled operation in a modest warehouse in Fruitland, Idaho. You can find Rodriguez Bakery Abuela-approved flour tortillas and pan dulce for sale in local grocery stores in the Treasure and Magic Valleys, Sun Valley, McCall and even Jackson, Wyoming. Now, 66 years later, their second and third-generation family owners are looking for new ways to expand.

Local Idaho, 3rd Generation Family Business
It's safe to say that the secret ingredient in every tortilla is love. With Rodriguez Bakery Tortillas being a family-owned and operated business, now, three generations, it's been a love for their family and a passion for the quality of the product they create that has led to such prosperous growth in the valley. When the economic crisis of 2008 hit the Treasure Valley, Marco - the son of Francisco and Carmen Rodriguez - and his wife Becky were looking for promising opportunities to keep the bakery running during such a tumultuous time. Their solution? To begin selling flour tortillas in local southern Idaho grocery stores. Companies like Winco, Walmart, Fred Meyers, and Albertsons introduced the Treasure Valley to the excellent quality of local tortillas and we've been hooked ever since.
Recipes Are Built From Scratch and Not Mass Produced
In their Fruitland warehouse, the production of each tortilla is as streamlined yet grounded in human connection as possible. There are few preservatives added into the dough mixture, giving them their signature, homemade flavors. With a few pieces of machinery to mix the dough, section into perfect portions, flattened into the desired sizes, and finally cooked, each tortilla is made like the one before it, assuring you the same classic taste every time. In between the machines, one of Rodriguez's team members is watching over, quality testing, and assuring that production is going as planned. Once cooked, the tortillas are hand-counted and packaged. The machines do the heavy lifting so that the utmost care and attention can be intentionally given to each tortilla.
With the recipe tested daily, Rodriguez Bakery can confidently maintain its authentic taste! Coming soon to the Rodriguez family of tortillas, customers across the valley will be able to enjoy their corn tortillas.
