Boise Facilities Continue to Announce Plans to Re-Open During Idaho Rebounds

As Idaho continues to move along with the Idaho Rebounds Plan, many of our local Treasure Valley organizations are continuing to open up or have announced opening dates to get residents excited about experiencing all the places they love again!

Here are some dates & places to look forward to:

The Treasure Valley YMCA has plans to open its doors to members on Tuesday, May 26. With a phased in approach the weight and cardio rooms will be open at all four facilities, as the other phases continue to move along additional areas will continue to open including aquatic centers, group exercise studios, and youth programs. Safety protocols have been put into place in an effort to reduce health risks for members and staff of the YMCA.
Hours of operation will be:
Monday - Friday: 5AM - 8PM (closed for deep cleaning daily from 2PM -3PM).
Saturday: 7AM - 5PM (closed for deep cleaning from 12PM-1PM)
Sunday:12PM - 5PM (closed for deep cleaning from 2PM - 3PM)

Wahooz and Pinz is scheduled to open outdoor attractions and bowling beginning Monday, May 18 with the guidelines given in Stage 2. Outdoor attractions will include mini-golf, go-karts, bumper boats, and batting cages with heightened awareness of social distancing and extensive safety measures. There will be a limited capacity, so schedule your reservation online for outdoor play sessions and bowling.
Indoor activities are scheduled to open beginning May 30, coinciding with announcements in the Governor’s stages of reopening Idaho.

Roaring Springs our local waterpark will begin waterpark season on Saturday, May 30. Roaring Springs will be opening along with Stage 3 of the Idaho Rebounds plan, and will be enforcing limited capacity to the park, as well as thorough disinfecting and social distancing practices.

Vertical View, Boise’s newest indoor climbing facility, is included in Phase 2 and will be opening their doors beginning Saturday, May 16 with their regular gym hours. They have invested in new filtration systems, are ensuring social distancing practices, and will be opening the studio to more areas of fresh air.
Youth programs will also begin on May 16, with a limited capacity of students and limiting amounts of physical contact.

Alive After Five, a downtown Boise tradition might be moving online for now, but has recently announced their June 2020 Virtual concert line-up! The Grove Plaza will also be selling to-go wine and beer beverages to coincide with the new at-home experience that will be offered.

Big Al’s at the Village at Meridian is open with limited capacity at their bowling alley and sports bar. The arcade is set to open on June 1st following guidelines of the Rebound Idaho plan.
The Boise Public Library may still be closed indoors, but they have set up computer appointments and curbside hold pickup services.

VR1 Arcade in Boise is open with normal hours, Monday - Friday 4PM - 10PM, Saturday & Sunday 11AM - 11PM. Only 10 people are allowed in the store at a time, which is why reservations are available online. They are taking the extra, necessary precautions to ensure clean habits are utilized by their entire team to follow the guidelines of the CDC.

The Idaho Botanical Garden is open with normal hours, Monday - Sunday 9AM - 7PM. They have no-contact admission and are taking extra precautions to keep visitors socially distanced. These include: one-way path signs, recommended masks, and specific closed areas.
The Aquarium of Boise is open after two and a half months. Members will be welcome June 1st - 4th, and the general public will be welcomed beginning June 5th.
