Here’s how to make the most of your Lowman day trip:

Morning: Forest Views + Fresh Air

Drive time from Boise: 1 hour, 40 minutes
Leave early to catch the sunrise on the scenic drive through Highway 21. Fall colors explode in the Boise National Forest this time of year, making the journey just as beautiful as the destination. Note: cell service can be spotty, so plan ahead and download your maps.

Hike Option 1 – Jennie Lake Trail

  • Distance: 8.4 miles round trip

  • Elevation gain: ~2,000 ft

  • A cascading warm waterfall spills into a rock-lined pool beside the river

  • This spot feels extra secluded and magical in the cooler seasons
     

Evening: Fuel Up + Stargaze

Dinner Options:

  • The Historic Lowman Inn – Pizza, burgers, and classic American fare. Catch live music if you're lucky!
