Boise Flywheel Fest Begins Countdown to Beloved Machine Leaving for Minnesota

The agricultural and community spectacle JUMP or Jack' Urban Meeting Place is hosting its first-ever Flywheel Fest. The Agri-Cultural Celebration will happen on August 7th, from 10 am - 4 pm, in downtown Boise. This day of farm and sheep-centric fun is a great opportunity to learn more about all of the amazingly well-preserved tractors on the JUMP campus.

You won’t want to miss these other b’awwww-some events!

Fiber Frolic

The Twisted Ewe and Idaho Woll Growers Assoc. will be hosting various educational booths, wool product vendors, and real-life sheep. You will be able to see how wool is harvested and turned into useable products.

Community Fiber Art Project

Again, from the team of the Twisted Ewe, a large public art installation will be on display for festival-goers to enjoy. It has been handcrafted by local K - 12 students and senior citizens!

Live music from the Idaho Bluegrass Association

From 11:45 am to 2:45 pm, local musicians will be performing. The association also asks for other musicians to bring their instruments for an open jam session!

Competitions and Family Fun

Find out if you’ve got the skills to be the fastest pie eater at the festival. Many fun activities like this are planned for the event.

Food Trucks and a Tap Take-over

Adults can enjoy a refreshing beverage from Mother Earth Brewing and Proletariat Wine, and everyone can nosh on the delicious dishes from Potato Boi and Slay the Snow All-Natural Shaved Ice. Boise Urban Garden School will be in the studio giving samples and food demonstrations for everyone.

Mammoth Sunflower Challenge
